Axion Racing has created a 3D LADAR mount which when combined with our SICK 291 LADAR units allows us to see 3D objects in front of Spirit. An example of our quick processing scan of a 3D tree identification is shown in the photos below. Axion Racing's setup has been adopted by Michigan State University's NASA moon robotics research group. |
